The PIR Motion Sensor Detector Module HC-SR501 allows you to sense motion. It is mostly used to detect the motion of a human body present within the sensor’s range which can be adjusted between 3 to 7 meters. It is often referred to as “PIR”, “Pyroelectric”, “Passive Infrared”, “IR Motion” sensor or "Pyroelectric Infrared Motion Detection Sensor".
The module has an onboard pyroelectric sensor, conditioning circuitry, and a dome-shaped Fresnel lens. It has a delay time adjustment Potentiometer and sensitivity adjustment Potentiometer. Repeat Trigger Selection Jumper is also available. Compatible with ARDUINO, RASPBERRY PI, etc.
The blocking time potentiometer is also provided on-board to set the blocking time during which the sensor does not respond to any change in motion. The minimum blocking time that can be set is 2.5 seconds and a maximum of 10 seconds.
